Oregon Health Alternatives Society (COHAS) is a non-profit referral
service guided by a mission to help patients contact doctors who are
sensitive to their need for alternative therapies and provide doctors
with comfortable, professional offices away from home to reduce the
strain of travel for the seriously ill.

 Rick Maughs is the author of the 2004 Medical Marijuana Guide,
a must for new patients. He was one of the first growers of medical
marijuana by contract in California, until his agreement with the
Redding Cannabis Co-op was judged invalid by federal authorities and he
spent five years as a prisoner. His complete story and 26 years worth
